New electronic feeding system for sows from Rotecna

With the spirit of continuous improvement that characterizes Rotecna, we are launching a new version of our successful Dositronic, the electronic system for comprehensive feeding control in maternity. This dispenser, combined with its management software, allows on-site individualization and control of sow feeding parameters quickly and intuitively via the control panel, which helps increase feed and water intake, stimulates milk production in sows, and improves productivity.

Our R&D department has simplified the assembly of this product, eliminating some components of the installation system and changing the type of connections used from the first generation of Dositronic to the present. This allows easier installation and facilitates the connection between the devices and their accessories, as well as between the electrical links of the device and the feeder sensor, which also improves the accuracy of the Dositronic dispenser.

Additionally, the new plug system increases safety, as it prevents sealing issues in connections within maternity rooms, where high-pressure cleaning systems are frequently and intensively used. This ensures proper functioning, precision, and reliability, as well as a long product lifespan.

At the same time, Rotecna is launching a new version (3.0) of its Dositronic user software, in which the control panels have been simplified and usability improved, aiming to create an even simpler, more practical, and intuitive system.

The continuous increase in the genetic potential for piglet production in sows and the importance of optimizing the work of skilled labor require feeding systems that effectively and easily stimulate feed intake.

Our ad libitum feeding system for maternity sows, Feeding Ball, combined with the water level valve, has been highly successful for years, proving to increase feed and water intake in farrowing rooms, with a significant rise in production figures and piglet weaning weights.

The launch of the electronic feeding system Dositronic two years ago represented a significant advancement. With this project, Rotecna has once again put engineering at the service of the farmer, designing the first smart and easy-to-use dispenser on the market, maximizing efficiency, effectiveness, and functionality while minimizing usage complexity. Dositronic increases profits while reducing and simplifying work. Currently, several companies representing over 10% of Spanish pork production are using Dositronic with excellent results.

Dositronic is an electronic feeding system that is easy to install and use, allowing extremely simple and intuitive application of feeding strategies that maximize feed and water intake in sows, increase milk production, and improve sow condition at the end of the maternity phase, reducing weaning-to-estrus interval and increasing fertility and prolificacy in the next litter.

Dositronic automatically applies feeding curves assigned to each animal individually and divides the daily ration into multiple meals, increasing the number of feedings to avoid overfeeding and boost water intake. The system features a sensor that the sow must activate to dispense her feed ration, preventing waste and indicating whether the sow is eating properly.

Using Dositronic is extremely simple and intuitive and does not require high technical skill, as its innovative LED light system allows a quick visual check of how each sow is eating and the level of feeding being applied, enabling feed adjustments with just a single button on the device.
